Miss Annie T. Young was born November 16, 1929 in Clinton, South Carolina to the late George "Booze" Shands and Louvenia "Febbie" Young.
Annie was a faithful member of New Bethel AME Church in Clinton, South Carolina. She was also a member of the Women's Aid Society No. 66 under President Te Cora Pitts.
She was employed by Whitten Center in Clinton, South Carolina as a Food Service Aide II and retired on June 1, 1994 with over twenty-four years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several siblings; a son, Thomas Young; and a granddaughter, Kanika Shani Gibson.
On Sunday, January 5, 2020, at the age of ninety, Miss Annie T. Young transitioned peacefully in the arms of her Savior.
Surviving to celebrate Annie's life are her two sons, Ralph (Irene) Young and Richard (Annette) Young both of Clinton, SC; one daughter, Willie Mae (Johnny) Gibson of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Cora Lee Johnson and Julia Ruth Copeland both of Clinton, SC, and Lillie Bell Trevathan and Thelma Ingram both of Youngstown, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
