Mrs. Banner Burton Jackson was born on November 3, 1940 in Laurens County, South Carolina to the late Carrie Burton Williams.
She attended the Laurens County Public Schools where she went on to become a 1959 graduate of Bell Street High School in Clinton, South Carolina. After thirty-two years of employment, she retired from Whitten Center in Clinton, South Carolina. She was also the previous owner of Orchard Park Memorial Gardens in Clinton, South Carolina.
Banner was a member of Boozer Chapel Baptist Church in Newberry, South Carolina. She was also a member of the Women's Aid Society No. 73 with Janie Wilson as President.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Jackson; a sister, Lillie Estelle Burton; and a daughter, Carol A Higgins.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at the age of seventy-eight, God, in His wise way, came quietly and called Mrs. Banner Burton Jackson home, freeing her of all of her pain and suffering.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth L. (Gregory) Aughtry and Ms. Jacquelyn Burton both of Joanna, SC; one son, Bobby (Virginia Vanee) Burton of Clinton, SC; two grandchildren, Mr. Devon Higgins of Clinton, SC; and Ms. Miraclle Aughtry of Joanna, SC; three special friends, Mrs. Ladell Adams, Ms. Brenzella Adams, and Mrs. Debra Rice; one brother-in-law, Mr Eugene (Jessie) Jackson of Clinton, SC; one sister-in-law, Pastor Mary D. Jackson of Simpsonville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
