In 1992, the Lord led him to become founder and pastor of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Laurens, South Carolina where he faithfully served until God called him home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seventeen siblings.
On Friday, June 7, 2019, Pastor Charles Smith was called home to be with the Lord at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta Georgia.
