A Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Delois Richard Lindsay
Mrs. Deloris Richard Lindsay gained her heavenly angel-wings on January 22, 2019 at home in Cross Hill, SC.
Lois was born September 16, 1951 to the late Wardell Richard and Lillie K Cannon Richard in Laurens County. Lois was a 1969 graduate of Bell Street High School. Lois was a hard, dedicated worker until her retirement from Presbyterian College. She loved her family. She joined St. Vaughnville Baptist Church at an early age. She was a member of the Pastor's Aide, Women's Aide Society #49 and a former Eastern Star ADA Chapter #1. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James (Nate) Lindsay, Sr; her daughter, Catherine Lindsay; and her sister, Varnell Jones.
Cherishing her beautiful memories are her, Lillie K Richard of Cross Hill; two daughters, Tammy Lindsay and Beverly (Greg) Jones, both of Cross Hill; one son, James (Shatan) Lindsay, Jr., of Cross Hill; one stepson, Larry Johnson of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren, Shakeja and Akedreah Jones of Cross Hill, Ashiara (Cameron) Little of Clinton, Jahmren, Jahmez, Shamarria, and Jasiah Lindsay, all of Cross Hill; one great grandson, Kourtland Little of Clinton; three brothers, Tommy (Dorothy) Richard, Clyde and Earl Richard, all of Cross Hill; two aunts, Mamie Bell Richard of Cross Hill and Ruth Richard of Philadelphia, PA; four loving childhood friends, Linda McGowan, Ella Speaks, Genelle Robertson and Doris Davis, along with a host of loving, devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.
