Mr. E. T. Brown was born on October 6, 1927 to the late Alex Brown, Sr. and Hattie Bell Brown.

He lived a life of dedicated servitude to his family, his community as well as the St. Vaughnville Baptist Church and affiliated associations.

He was a faithful member of the St. Vaughnville Baptist Church where he served as the Superintendent of the Sunday school, a member of the trustee board and he also served as a deacon. He was also one of the founding members of the VFW Post 5932 located in Clinton, South Carolina. He also served as the past Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge Rising Son 410.

Mr. Brown served in the United States Army, and was employed by The Standard Plywood and Industrial Supply Company for many years until his retirement.

On Monday, December 18, 2017, Mr. Brown transitioned to be with the Lord at the age of 90 years old.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lillian P. Brown; a son, Edward Louis Brown; a daughter, Ernestine Brown; four brothers, Alex Brown, Jr., George Brown, Rufus Brown, and Leonard Brown; and three sisters, Helen Hankerson, Nellie Gladney, and Daisy Bell Walker.

He leaves to cherish memories, six children, Albert Brown of Clinton, SC, Brenda Faye (David) Smith,of Laurens, SC, Phillip Leon (Eventa) Brown, Sr., of San Diego,CA, Doniether (James Robert)Harden of Simpsonville, SC, Kathy (Ronald) Johnson of Blythewood, SC, Delories (Antonio) Bess of Florence, SC; one grandson Michael Shawn Brown, reared in the home, of Clinton, SC; three brothers, Vonnie (Shirley) Brown of Charlotte, NC, Johnny Brown of Hartford, CT, and Jimmy Brown of Laurens, SC; two sisters, Idale Brown of Fayetteville, NC, and Judy Richardson of Charlotte, NC; two sisters-in-law, Johnnie Vee Brown and Lillie Johnson, both of Clinton, SC; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren, a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends..
