Mr. Eugene Jackson, Jr. was born on November 10, 1961 in Laurens County, South Carolina to Mr. Eugene Jackson, Sr. and Mrs. Jessie Pyles Jackson of Clinton, South Carolina.
He attended the public schools in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was employed at Kemet Electronics in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
At an early age, Eugene joined and was reared and baptized in Jesus' name at Zion Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Ezekiel Johnson. He was a gifted lead and bass guitar player who played for various churches and groups. He had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Anyone who came in contact with him was filled with joy and laughter. He had unyielding determination to be at his best and never gave up.
On Thursday, May 2, 2019, Mr. Eugene Jackson, Jr., departed this life at the age of fifty-seven.
He leaves to cherish fond memories; his beloved wife, Debra Ann Jackson of the home; two daughters, Kiarra Jackson and Eugenia Jackson both of Laurens, SC; two stepdaughter, Trashunah Godfrey of the home and Demetria Godfrey of Columbia, SC; five step grandsons; one step great grandson; three sisters, Joyce Jackson, Juanita Jackson, and Jacqueline Davis all of Clinton, SC; one sister-in-law, Barbara Gary of Cross Anchor, SC; two brothers-in-law, James Cromer and Kennard Cromer both of Laurens, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
