George Thomas Price

Mr. George T. Price, 87, of 78 Sandy Valley Drive, Clinton, South Carolina transitioned from his earthly life into Eternal Rest on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

He was born on June 22, 1931 to the late, Mr. Henry Price, Sr., and the late, Mrs. Lillie Rice Price.  He joined the Springfield Baptist Church in Clinton, South Carolina at an early age and remained a member his entire life.

Mr. Price retired from the Torrington Bearing Company.  He was a skilled master welder and his work can be seen throughout Laurens and it's surrounding counties.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Cora Mamie Dillard Price and a brother, Mr. Edgar "Sonny" Price.

He is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Ernestine (Donald) Simpson, Sr. and Valerie (Harvey) Anderson, two sons, Mr. Ernest (Sara) Price and Mr. James Earl Price, all of Clinton, SC; twelve grandchildren, Donald Simpson, Jr., Christopher Simpson, Brian Simpson, Melissa Simpson, Neal Lee, Crystal Byrd, Tiffany Rice, Felicia Pyles, Dreicka Suber, Candice Bryson; Tyonna Price, and Tiffany Price; eighteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mr. Henry (Mamie) Price, Sr. and Mr. William (Levonia) Price; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Watts and Mrs. Lillie (Eugene) Sturkey, all of Clinton, SC; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Josephine D. Gary and Mrs. Beatrice Dillard of Clinton, SC; a friend, Ms. Titania Young, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
