James Hunter Obituary

Mr. James Edward Hunter, 70, entered into Eternal Rest on April 6 2019 at Hospice of Laurens County.

Born in Laurens County on November 9, 1948 to the late, Mary Hunter and Jack Hunter. He was a member of Trees of Righteousness Ministry.

Mr. James was a man of many talents, he was a handyman and could fix almost anything. He was employed at Watts Mill for over 25 years till his retirement.

He was also employed at The Laurens City Housing Authority, for many years, until his health declined.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son John Quincy Hunter.

His memory will be cherished by his wife, Patricia Hunter of Laurens, SC, Four sons; Leroy Hunter, Willie (Amelia) Hunter, Harold (Eva) Hunter all of Greenville, SC. and Samuel Pitts of Laurens, SC. Two daughters; Jackie Williams of Laurens, SC and Angie (Anderson) Legair of Greenville, SC. Twenty-four Grandchildren, one special grandson, Javovieus Wesley, reared in the home and Twenty-two great-grands. A host of nieces; nephews, cousins and friends, one special sister-in-law Frankie Gary of Clinton, SC.
