Mrs. JoAnn Lena Blair was born on August 5, 1960, in New City, New York. A daughter of the late Lena Flournoy and Gerald McGrier.
She attended public schools in Richland County, Georgia and was a graduate of Hephzibah Comprehensive High School in Hephzibah, Georgia. She went on to further her education and obtained an Associate Degree at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, South Carolina. She was pursuing a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University Online at the time of her death.
JoAnn had numerous jobs, during her lifetime; the last one being a server at the Waffle House in Clinton, South Carolina.
She was a member of Cornerstone Life Changing Ministries in Greenwood, South Carolina. JoAnn loved school and higher learning, going to church, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents; one brother, Gerald "Chuck" Ingram; and one grandson, Jayden "Peanut" Monts.
Mrs. Blair departed this life on Sunday, June 9, 2019.
She leaves to cherish fond memories; a son, Bruce Blair, Jr. of Laurens, SC; Two daughters, Genieqwa Blair and Kayoha Blair and both of Laurens, SC; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Darryl McGrier, and Brian (Evette) McGrier all of New York, NY; three sisters, Cheryl (Melvin) Warren of Greenwood, SC, Janice McGrier, and Renee Tyindal both of New YorkCity, NY; an aunt, Pamela Bowie of Greenwood, SC; her stepmother, Dottie McGrier of New York City, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends who loved her dearly.
