Ms. Mamie Rice was born on February 10, 1941 to the late, Thomas B. Rice and Bertha McClintock Rice.
Mamie attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and graduated from Sanders High School in 1958. She was a faithful member of New Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Board, Usher Board, and sang on the Counts Choir.
She was formerly employed with Anderson Hosiery in Clinton, South Carolina for a number of years until it closed. She later worked at Ceram Tec North America Corporation in Laurens, South Carolina, Senior Options, and R Bland Roper and Associates.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Beautie Rice, Lenora Pulley, and Brenda Rice Taylor; five brothers, Thomas Rice, Jr., Charles rice, James Rice, Lendy Rice, and Sherman Rice; and a special niece she reared in the home, Patricia A. Rice.
On Saturday morning, November 2, 22019, Mamie heard the voice of the Lord say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."
She leaves to cherish a host of beloved nieces and nephews whom she raised and reared in the home, Theopolis M (Maxie) Rice, Ashley L. Rice, Darlene Rice Payne, and Andre L (P'Tia) Rice: two sisters, Barbara Ann (Fred) Jones and d Carrie B Robinson; a special nephew, Stacy Jones; a great niece, Whitney Payne; two sisters-in-law, Elouise Rice and Dorothy Rice; along with a host of beloved cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
