Ms. Marcia Naomi Cannon was born on January 27, 1956 to the late James L. and Catherine Rice Cannon in Clinton, South Carolina.
She was a member of the Chosen Generation Ministries Church in Laurens, South Carolina where she was a devoted faithful member who served as the teacher for Children's Sunday School, the secretary for the Women's Grace, and was a member of the Usher Board. She was educated in the public schools of Clinton, South Carolina, and was employed at Faurecia Automotive Manufacturing in Fountain Inn, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Elder Lester and Lula Rice; and her paternal grandmother, Josephine Denson Cannon Calhoun.
On Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville, South Carolina, Marcia departed this life.
She leaves to cherish many fond memories a son, Vernon L. Cannon of Welford, SC; two daughters, Minister Stephanie (Gregory) Carter of Cibolo, Texas and Felicia Cannon of Clinton, SC; a niece, reared in the home, Daphnie Bluett of Decatur, GA; eight grandchildren, Ashley R. Watts of Mauldin, SC, Tobias Watts of Cross Hill, SC, Michael (Damika) Barksdale and Trevor Anderson of Comstock, NY, Takia Serna Calwise and Iyana Celis Calwise of Cibolo, TX, Lashay Carter of Honea Path, SC, and Phillip Carter of Graham, Washington; a great nephew, Damarcus Bluett, Decatur, Ga; five great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Watts, Rhyan Wood, Nolan and Jaxson Barksdale, and Khamoria Anderson; one brother, Douglas (Sarah) Cannon of Upper Marlboro, MD, five aunts, and a host of other relatives and friends.
