Travis C. Hunter was born April 21, 1985 in Laurens, SC. He was the son of Minister Angela Carter and Bobby Joe Hunter (Karen). Travis passed away on July 28, 2019. Travis is survived by a daughter, Naviya S. Hunter.
During his younger years, Sherman Rhodes played a valuable part in Travis' upbringing. Travis was predeceased by a Stepfather, Patrick Carter, Paternal grandparents; Charles and Francis Hunter and maternal grandparent, Jessie Rice.
Surviving grandparents are Bobby Rice and George (Lillie) Austin. Also surviving are Sisters: Teniqua (raised in the home); Audrea, Kendra, and Shayla. Brothers: Bryan (raised in the home), Tyrell (raised in the home), Tagon, and Jabari. Uncles: Charles Hunter, Jr.: Yancy (Glenda) Hunter; Terry (Veronica) Hunter; Bobby Edward (Jackie) McGowan; George W, II (Lakesha) Austin and Johnny, who was a very special uncle and spiritual father to Travis, (Tina, who was a special Aunt). Aunts: Frances (Raymond) Suber; Patricia (Victor) Dendy; Melissa (Jonathan) Cunningham; Cassie McGowan; Kitty (Kent) Grant and a special and devoted Aunt, Anita Rice.
Travis also leaves to cherish a special niece, Jaidis Jefferson (raised in the home), and cousin, Precious Rice, and endearing friends, Marquel Brasley and Montavius Turner. Travis leaves behind a host of other nieces and nephews. About four weeks ago, Travis asked his best friend and special companion, Takata (Kay) Wilson, to marry him...she said "yes."
