Willie Calvin (Jr.) Mims

Mr. Willie C. Mims, Jr., "June Bug" of 100 Countryside Circle, Apt# 3F entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Laurens County Memorial Hospital in Laurens, SC.  He was the son of the late Willie Calvin Mims, Sr., and the late Melvin Mims and Lewis Simpson, Jr. of Clinton, the late Effie Reeder Simpson.

He was a member of St. Vaughnville Baptist Church.  He enjoyed going to football, baseball games and spending time with his family and friends.  He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by a brother; John Henry Reeder, ll and a sister-in-law, Shirley Fant.

Those who share his precious memories include, his wife; Wistar Denise Hill-Mims of the home and his father, Lewis Simpson, Jr.  Three daughters; Crystal Mims of Charlotte, NC., Lachaundria Hairston of Winston Salem, NC., and Whitney Hairston of the home.  One godson, Javian Hairston of the home. Twelve sisters; Lahomia (Frances) Ekeh of Laurens, SC., Ojetta Moze and Brenda Dewalt both of Newberry, SC., Deborah Mims-Burns, Regina Mims, Donald (Voyd) Fincher, Leomia (James) Bulter, Dianne Simpson, Lisa Simpson, Andrea Simpson, Lillie Pearl Williams of Clinton, SC., Cheryl Simpson of Columbia, SC.; four brother; Keith Mims of Greensboro, NC., Stanley (Mary) Reeder, Charles Simpson, and Raymond (Azalea) Reid all of Clinton, SC., mother-in-law, Helen Summers of Joanna, SC.;, three sisters-in-law; Patricia (CW) Wilson and Vanessa Wesley of Joanna, SC., Two brothers-in-law; Michael (Cheryl) Wilson of Joanna, SC, and John Fant of Joanna, SC., thirteen aunts; Leona Boyce of Laurens, SC. ,Bessie Mims of Gray Court, SC., Annie Mae Brown of Chappells, SC., Katie(Joe) Toland,, Lillie Mae (Thomas) Anderson, Betty (Nathaniel) Robinson and Linda Sanders all of Clinton, SC., Lula Crawford and Daisy (Harold) Smoot of Cross Hill, SC., Deborah Langford and Janice (Larry) Wilson both Newberry, SC., Louise Simpson of Laurens, SC., and Carrie Long of Spartanburg, SC.
