Mr. Alexander Douglas was born on July 26, 1946 in Rockingham, North Carolina to the late John Douglas and Lula Alice McNeil Douglas.He attended the Scotland County Public Schools where he went on become a graduate of Shaw High School in Laurinburg, North Carolina.
Alexander joined the military early in life and became a veteran of the Army, the Navy, and the Nation Guard. He was also a former employee of Whitten Center in Clinton, South Carolina.
He was a member of Mt. Cowell Baptist Church in Joanna, South Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his other siblings.
On Friday, June 7, 2019, at the age of seventy two, Mr. Douglas entered into Eternal Rest at his home, 491 New Hampshire Circle in Clinton, South Carolina.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife of forty-one years Cynthia Smith Douglas of the home, two sons, Darryl Smith of Clinton, SC and David Douglas of Evansville IN; one daughter, Lorraine (Derrick) Lyons of Fountain Inn, SC; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Willie (Carthenia) Douglas of Laurinburg, NC; one sister-n-law, Vicky Oglesby of Spartanburg, SC; two brothers-n-law, Joseph (Beverly) Shelton of Boiling Springs, SC and Johnny (Dorothy) Shelton of Gray Court, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
