Alma Jean (Kinard) Burnside

Mrs. Alma Jean ‘Jeannie’ Burnside was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on April 6, 1954,  to the late Spencer Kinard and Gertrude Rice Kinard.  

Mrs. Burnside attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and graduated in the Clinton High School Class of 1972.

She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Clinton, South Carolina.

After over twenty years of service, she retired from CCL in Clinton, South Carolina. She was also an honorary staff member of Sanders-Thompson Mortuary in Clinton, South Carolina.

"Jeannie" as she was lovingly called by family and friends, had a love for making floral arrangements as well as planting flowers in her yard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome L. Burnside; one sister, Sara Juanita Kinard Suber; mother and father-in-law, James and Maggie Burnside; and one brother-in-law, Daniel Burnside.

Mrs. Alma Jean Burnside entered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at her  home in Kinards, South Carolina at the age of seventy.

Those who celebrate her life and precious cherished memories of her two sisters: Spencie Ann (Odell) Hall of Silverstreet, SC and Rosia Lee Bobo of Clinton, SC; one brother-in-law, Herbert Suber of Clinton, SC; four sisters-in-law: Nettie Burnside, Emma (Vernon) Heston, Antoinette (Kelvin) Bates all of Clinton, SC, and Debbie Burnside of Laurens, SC; and a host of loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
