Mr. Alvin Coleman was born February 4, 1967, to the late Willie Coleman Jr. and Marian Carter Coleman.
He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina. He was a graduate of the Clinton High School Class of 1986 in Clinton, South Carolina where he was a member of the Varsity Boys Basketball team.
At an early age, "Toot," as he was lovingly called by many, became a member of Zion Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church where he remained from childhood on into adult life.
Alvin was employed as an equipment operator for Moose's Commercial Lawn Care in Clinton, South Carolina. He also had a talent for painting and plastering, which he provided services for others in the community.
In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by an aunt, Elder Betty Carter and a nephew, Antonio Coleman.
On Sunday, September 22, 2024, Mr. Alvin Coleman departed this earthly life and entered Eternal Peace in Laurens County, South Carolina at the age of fitty-seven.
Toot's loving memories will be missed by his sons, PFC Marcal (Brittany) Lagroon of South Korea, Alvin T. Coleman and Kambre Coleman both of Clinton, SC, and Zachary Coleman of Honea Path, SC, eleven grandchildren: Mattox, Mila, Noland, Nicholas, Shawn, Harmony, Kambre, Ke'Zyiah, Macalon, Michael, and London; four brothers: Willie E. (Charlotte) Coleman, Steve (Angela) Coleman, Sr., James (Brenda) Coleman, and Billy (Alfreda) Coleman, Sr., all of Clinton, SC; five sisters: Vickie (Tony) Wormley, Marion (Willie C.) Boyd, Ollie (John) Gaskins, Beverly (Charles) Brown all of Clinton, SC, and Margaret (Greg) Anderson of Simpsonville, SC; one god sister, Audrey Brown of Laurens, SC; two very special caregivers: Monique Kelly and Latoya Turner both of Clinton, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
