Mrs. Annie Mae Richardson was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on December 3, 1937, a daughter of the late Elder Lester Rice and Lula Metts Rice.
She was educated in the Laurens County School System. She was brought up to live a Christian life, and down through the years she served the Lord. She was a faithful member of Bread of Life Prophetic Deliverance Ministries in Laurens, South Carolina where she served in the Finance Department. She was always willing to serve in any capacity where she was needed.
After many years of employment, she retired from Torrington Industries in Clinton, South Carolina. She was also a member of the Women's Home Aide Society under President Delois Davis.
Annie Mae was known as one of the "Golden Girls!" In her own words, she wanted to be remembered as a nice person who tried to live a Christian life and treat everybody right. For those who don't know, Annie Mae had a lot of love to share. Although she had her own son to raise, she willingly took on the task of helping to provide for her nieces and nephews. She wasn't big on socializing; therefore, some misunderstood her ways. But despite it all, she was still an angel here on earth. Even though she was not a flashy person, she sure knew how to "style and profile" her hats and other attire. More importantly, one of her biggest desires was to go higher in Jesus and make it to Heaven one day. Her mission has been accomplished.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Willie Edward Richardson; two brothers, Jimmy "Bubba" Rice and Hallie Rice; and three sisters, Mary Lizzie Barksdale, Elder Mattie Priestley, and Catherine Cannon.
On the morning of Monday, December 9, 2019, Mrs. Richardson transitioned peacefully from labor to reward as she entered Eternal Rest.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, four sisters, Elder Daisy Lee Rice of Laurens, SC, and Elizabeth Young, Margaret Miller, and Viola Chambers all of Clinton, SC; and one sister-in-law, Lela Mae Rice of Greenville, SC; two very close cousins, Barbara Friday of North Augusta, SC; and Nancy Calhoun of Clinton, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
