Anthony Marquis Gilmore Henley was born October 24, 1993 in Chester, South Carolina.
He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina which included Thornwell Elementary and Bell Street Middle School, and graduating in the Clinton High School Class of 2012.
After spending time at Thornwell, he became the youngest member of the Henley family in 1997.
Anthony was a tremendous athlete, playing soccer and football, and was part of the Red Devils Football State Championship team. He was also nominated and played in the 2012 South Carolina North-South Soccer Classic. After living in Clinton and Myrtle Beach, he settled in Johns Island with his long time partner, Shaquitta Dowdy, and two beloved dogs , Zeus and Zena. Anthony had an infectious smile, a boisterous laugh, and he never met a stranger. As Anthony would say, "Greatness all around me."
On Monday, April 07, 2025, Mr. Anthony Henley departed this life in Charleston, South Carolina and entered Eternal Rest at the young age of thirty-one.
Anthony's loving memories will be forever cherished by his Parents, Gregory and Janet Henley of Myrtle Beach, SC, brother Jacob Henley of Charleston, SC, four sisters: Alisa Simpson and Chelsea Renwick both of Myrtle Beach, SC, Caitlin Henley of Los Angeles, CA, and Latrevet Thomas of Charleston, SC and his loving partner of 15 years, Shaquitta Dowdy of Charleston, SC; his two fur babies: Zeus and Zena and a host of other relatives and friends.
