Mrs. Barbara Jean Chambers Bluford was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on July 26, 1964, to Viola Rice Chambers and the late Joe Chambers, Sr.
She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and was a graduate of the Clinton High School Class of 1982. She furthered her education at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, South Carolina where she received an Associate Degree as an Administrative Assistant.
Barbara was the pastor of Bread of Life Prophetic Deliverance Ministries in Laurens, South Carolina. She was also formerly employed with the United States Postal Service and a social worker with the Department of Social Services.
On Saturday, November 26, 2022, Pastor Barbara Jean Chambers Bluford departed this life of labor at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina and entered Eternal Rest at the age of fifty-eight.
In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish; her husband, Clery Bluford Sr.; her son, Clery (Cynthia) Bluford Jr.; a step daughter, Dashall Barksdale; a step son, Omar Caldwell; two sisters, Jessie Anderson, Patricia (Robert) Hopp, one brother, Joe Chambers Jr.; father- in- law, Charles Bell; four grandchildren, Jalen, Chikiaya, Enoch and Micah; a step grandson, Kendarius; one brother- in- law, two sisters- in- law, two uncles, four aunts, two nephews, three great nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
