Mrs. Barbara Claudette Watts was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on May 22, 1953, to the late Mr. Claude Smith and Mrs. Mattie Elizabeth Mason Wax.
She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and was a graduate of the Clinton High School Class of 1971 in Clinton, South Carolina.
At an early age, she joined Friendship African Methodist Episcopal Church in Clinton, South Carolina. She was also a member of the 79th District Women's Auxiliary.
After many years of employment, Mrs. Watts retired as a Direct Care Provider from Whitten Center of Clinton, South Carolina. She also served in the United States Navy.
On Saturday, September 4, 2021, Mrs. Barbara Claudette Watts departed this life and entered Eternal Rest at her home at the age of sixty-eight.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Brandy (Brad) Redmond and two granddaughters: Tatum and Talia Redmond; six sisters: Judith Watts, Geraldine (Sooney) Dejavitchilert, Lizzie (Timothy) Little, Bessie (George) Dandy, Rochelle Young, and Phyllis Nadine Hill; one aunt, Maggie E. Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
