Benjamin Derick Griffin

Mr. Benjamin Derick Griffin was born in Greenwood County, South Carolina on June 16, 1985, to Brenda Griffin and Benjamin Grant, Jr.

He attended the public schools of Greenwood County, South Carolina and was a graduate of Cambridge Academy. He was employed in construction.

Derick loved people and never met a stranger. He always had a big smile on his face that could light up any room. He was always willing to help anyone that needed it. He loved fishing, football, and he loved his girls with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jasmine Griffin.

On Monday, October 17, 2022, Mr. Benjamin Derick Griffin departed this life at Prisma Health Greenville, Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina and entered Eternal Rest at the age of thirty-seven.

In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memories three daughters: Jaylyn Camile Griffin, Mariah Lee Griffin, and Breanna Alexis Mercedes Griffin; two brothers: Allan Cunningham and Billy Richey; three sisters: Amanda Griffin, Maxie (Theo) Rice, and Robin Tita; two nephews: Johntaveous Griffin and Raheim Thompson; four nieces: Ke'Undra Griffin, Reanna Thompson, Leila Cunningham and Kennadi Cunningham; one great nephew, Zyion Shumate; one great niece, Alaya Griffin; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
