Mrs. Betty Brantley Bailey was born November 23, 1932, in Darlington County, South Carolina, to the late Fred Horton an Almeter Him Graham.
She was a member of Trees of Righteousness in Laurens, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Brantley; one brother, James Author Horton; and four sisters: Pastor Wilhelmena Daniels, Willean Coleman, Doll Battle, and Dorothy Brown.
On Saturday, February 21, 2026, Mrs. Betty Brantley Bailey departed this life and entered eternal rest at Hospice of Laurens County in Laurens, South Carolina at the age of ninety-three.
She leaves to cherish her treasured memories three sons: Henry Brantley of Spartanburg, SC, James Edward (Cora) Brantley of Marren, SC, and Willie (Elizabeth) Brantley of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Amanda J. Shipp of Charlotte NC; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
