Mr. Bruce Yarneil Robinson was born January 2, 1963, in Newberry County, South Carolina, to the late David Coleman and Annie Mae Robinson-Jeter.
He was educated in the public schools of Newberry, South Carolina where he attended Newberry High School. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Newberry, South Carolina.
Bruce was employed as the head chef at Hickory Hills BBQ in Clinton, South Carolina for over ten years. He loved spending time with his family and friends as well as fishing, cooking, and watching sports as an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Lakers fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Waymon Robinson and Anna Robinson.
On Friday, May 2, 2025, at his home, the Lord gave Mr. Bruce Yarneil Robinson a sweet rest at the age of sixty-two.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful and fond loving memories to his daughter, Gabrielle Bates; one son: Shakeil (Jewel) Bates; the devoted mother of his children, Diletha Bates; two stepsons: Marquel Bates and Rodricas Bates; two brothers, Michael Robinson and Tony (Gretta) Robinson; two sisters: Phyllis Ann Robinson and Patricia Swittenburg; a special granddaughter, Ivanna Bates-Anderson, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
