Carl Linnaeus Jones

Mr. Carl Linnaeus Jones was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on January 1, 1960, to Robert Jones, Sr. and Jeanette Byrd Jones.

At an early age, he joined Bethlehem Grove Baptist Church in Clinton, South Carolina.

Mr. Jones was formerly employed with Camira in Greenville, South Carolina.

Carl enjoyed watching football and spending time with his family, especially his close cousins.

Mr. Carl Linnaeus Jones departed this life on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at his home in Clinton, South Carolina.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his loving wife, Robbie A. Jones of the home; two stepchildren:  Donald Maurice (Vickie) Gilchrist and Kristin Gilchrist;  three grandchildren:  Paige Frame, Kristin Jordan, and Tristin Jordan; one brother Robert L. (Dorothy) Jones, Jr., of Clinton, SC; one sister, Cynthia L. (Bruce) Jones of Clinton, SC; one niece, Jeannette N. Lynch of Simpsonville, SC; one nephew, Robert L. (Jessica) Jones III of Columbia, SC; two great nephews:  Hayden and Brayhen Lynch; three sisters-in-law:  Dorothy Williams, Angela (Arthur) Jacobs;, and Miriam Attaway; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
