Carol Garlington

Miss Carol Garlington was born January 20, 1962, in Clinton, SC, to the late Ernestine Garlington and James Garlington, Sr.

Carol, aka Cal Girl, attended grade school and graduated from Clinton High School, class of 1980.

She was an employee of Whitten Center before relocating to Washington, DC. There she met the love of her life, David Estes and his daughter, Tatrice Estes.

Carol was a pillar of her community and was well known as a great cook, always lending a helping hand, good with children, feeding the elderly and a willing worker in her church until she became ill.

Preceding Carol in death were two sisters; Norie Garlington and Christne Sanders, both of Clinton.

Carol was well loved in Washington, DC, as well as in Clinton, SC.

Carol departed this life on February 5, 2017, and leaves to cherish precious memories her father, James Garlington, Sr. of Clinton, SC; brothers, James A. Garlington, Jr. and his wife Rosalie F. Garlington of New York, and Harold Garlington of Augusta, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews, Lorhonda Garlington, Katina Smith, Meredith Smith, Crystal Young and Myron Young, Deon Noel and Ian Noel, Demond Sandras, and Chris Smith; three aunts, Lullia Williams, Mary Cromartie, and Catherine Evans, three uncles; Herman Williams, Johnny Evans, and Larry Cromartie; and many other loving relatives and friends.
