Ms. Cassandra Ava Long was born on April 27, 1973 in Laurens County, South Carolina to Ida Wilson (Tony) Korens and the late Foremango Thomas Korens, Sr.
She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and received her GED from Piedmont Technical College.
Cassandra was a member of Mount Pleasant African Methodist Episcopal Church in Clinton, South Carolina where she was president of the YAMS Ministry. She was also a member of Women's Aide Lodge Number 73.
She was employed as a traveling CNA in Laurens County, South Carolina and the surrounding areas.
On Sunday, October 2, 2022, Ms. Cassandra Ava Long earned her wings at her home in Laurens County, South Carolina when God dispatched His angels and peacefully called her home to rest at the age of forty-nine.
Ms. Long leaves to cherish her precious memories, in addition to her mother, one daughter, Ke'Andra Long of Clinton, SC, three grandchildren: Ki'tavia Toland, Kivarion Toland, and Keondra Long; one brother: Formango Cedric (Rashidah) Korens, Jr. of Laurens, SC; one sister, Tausha Lanettee (Keon) Korens; two aunts: Rosa Reed and Janie Thompson both of Clinton, SC; two uncles: Reverend C.W. (Patricia) Wilson, Jr. of Joanna, SC and Samuel J. (Mary Jo) Thompson of Columbia, SC; a special caregiver, Anthony of Spartanburg; three nieces, three nephews, two great nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
