Today, we celebrate the love and happiness that was brought to us through Cornelia Irvin Percha. We are greateful to God for the many blessings her life bestowed upon us, both individually and collectively.
Cornelia Irvin Percha was born on March 24, 1924, to the late Sarah Harris Irvin and William Henry Irvin, Sr. of Troy, South Carolina. She peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, July 7, at Iva Post Acute in Iva, South Carolina.
At an early age, Cornelia accepted Christ as her Savior and united with New China Baptist Church in Troy, South Carolina. Later, she joined Union Baptist Church in North Charleston, South Carolina, where she faithfully worshiped for many years.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late George Percha, Sr.
In addition to her parents, Cornelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Percha, Sr., her only son, George Patterson, Jr. grandson, Corey Patterson, five brothers, and three sisters.
Loving memories of her life will forever be cherished by her three grandchildren: Craig (Wendy) Patterson, Chade (Yolanda) Patterson, and Cassie (Jason) Mathis; six great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; a special daughter-in-love, Mary (Willie) Marine; her Goddaughter, Virginia Jamison of North Charleston, South Carolina; a host of devoted nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends. To all who knew her, she was a loving grandmother whose kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit that touched countless lives.
