Mr. David Cannon was born May 22, 1944, in Washington, D. C., to the late James "Tony" Cannon and Alberta Newman. He was raised by his grandmother, the late Zula Wax and his uncle, the late Clarence Leamon.
"Cannonball," as he was called by many who knew him, was educated in the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina, and was a proud graduate of the Sanders High School Class of 1963.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne Newman.
.On October 25, 2025, Mr. David Cannon departed this life at his home and entered into eternal rest at the age of 81.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Betty Davis Cannon of the home; his daughter, Celesa (Derrick) Williams of Laurens, SC; his brother, Nathaniel Cannon of Washington, DC;; five sisters, Patricia Levy of Maryland, Ardella Newman of Washington, DC, and Ruby Chandler, Maria Newman, and Tawanna Cannon all of Maryland; his granddaughter, Alexis Williams of Mauldin, SC; his great grandson, Ayden "Lil'Man" Williams of Laurens, SC;; his brother-in-law, Calvin (Lisa) Davis of Silverstreet, SC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
