Mrs. Deloris Dehavon Stewart was born in Aiken, South Carolina on December 14, 1950 to the late Roosevelt Young, Sr. and Thelma Wise Young.
She attended the public schools of Edgefield County where she was a 1968 graduate of W. E. Parker High School Class in Edgefield County, South Carolina.
Deloris was very independent woman who was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a great love for life and her family.
She was the owner and operator of Good Hope Road Cleaners in Washington, DC.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who lovingly assisted in the rearing of her younger siblings upon the premature passing of their parents.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Roosevelt Young, Jr. and Richard Young, Sr.
On Thursday, May 27, 2021, Mrs. Deloris Dehavon Stewart departed this life at her home in Clinton, South Carolina and went home to be with the Lord at the age of seventy.
She leaves to cherish her fond loving memories three loving daughters: Latrice Miller of Johnston, SC, Lanelle Wise of Jacksonville, FL, and Delona Curry of Clinton, SC; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; three sisters: Beatrice Dandy of Clinton, SC, Doris (Henry) Merriweather of North Augusta, SC, and Grace Overton of North Carolina; one brother, David (Linda) Young of Savannah, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
