Dorothy Glenn

Mrs  Dorothy Glenn, 78, of 571 Duckett Avenue, Whitmire, SC, departed this life on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in Spartanburg, SC.

Born in Newberry County, September 20, 1938, she was a daughter of the late William and Louise Gilliam. Mrs. Glenn was the widow of the late Eugene Glenn, Sr., and a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Whitmire, SC. She was a 1956 graduate from Gallman High School, Newberry, SC.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories: one daughter, Ms. Karen Glenn of Lithonia, GA; four sons, Eugene Glenn, Jr. (Debra ) of Lilburn, GA, Thurmond Glenn (Sheila) of Rock Hill, SC, Lachoye Glenn and Maurice Glenn (Agnes), both of Union, SC; one devoted sister, Etrulia Gilmore-Whitmire; one sister-in-law, Doris Glenn Tyson of Tryon, NC; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two devoted friends, Ethel Rice and Dorothy Johnson, both of Whitmire, SC; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
