Dwane Goldsmith Obituary

On January 4, 1959, the angels sang out that a child, Dwane Theodore Goldsmith, was born and we were so elated.

He was educated in the public schools of Capital Heights, Maryland and was a graduate of the Central High School Class of 1977 in Capital Heights, Maryland.  After graduating, he joined the United States Army.

At an early age, Dwane attended Sergeant Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C.  In 1983 in his early twenties, he accepted Jeesus Christ into his life.  He eventually moved to Laurens, South Carolina where he attended Gospel Tabernacle Church.  He was amember there for at least fifteen or more years where he played the guitar which he loved so dearly in the church band.  He was more recently affiliated with White Plains Baptist Church in Mountville, South Carolina.

On October 26, 1992 he was united in marriage to Selena Chappelle.  To this union came four sons.

Mr. Goldsmith was an entrepreneur who built Goldsmith Floors into a family run contracting service which still operates today.  He was also employed at Henkel in Enoree, South Carolina where he was employed for many years as a trainer at their industrial facility until his retirement in 2017 due to health concerns.
