George Leonard Henderson

Mr. George Leonard Henderson was born October 24, 1942 to the late Lee Henderson Sr., and the late Helen Gibson Henderson in Newberry County, South Carolina. George was better known as "Happy."  He always had an infectious smile. He loved to use expressions, like " that's the real true story.

He served in the United States Army. 

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, George entered into eternal rest at Newberry County Memorial Hospital in Newberry, South Carolina, at the age of 83.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his sisters, Estell (James) Barnes, Minister Sally (John) Chick, Evangelist Betty (Minister Edward) Jeter, Shirley Sanders, Pauline Scott; brother, Minister Willie O.(Beverly) Henderson; special caretaker, Vera Barnes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He leaves to cherish one brother, five sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
