George Olando Taylor

George Olando Taylor entered his eternal resting place on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Hospice House in Clinton, South Carolina.

George was a dedicated and faithful trustee and member of Friendship African Methodist Episcopal Church in Clinton, South Carolina.

He was a 1964 graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education for a year at Martha

Dendy School in Clinton, South Carolina, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served two tours in Vietnam.  George wore many hats and was active with the VFW Post 5932 and the Department of Veteran's Affairs.

In addition to his beloved parents, Marion "Lan" and Julia "Mama Julia" Taylor, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by one brother, W. Otis Taylor.

George Olando Taylor will live on in the memories and hearts of his beloved wife of thirty-five years, Sara F. Taylor; one son, Orlando Jerrell (Tabby) Taylor; two beautiful daughters, Kimberly Brookins and Phylencia Dalanda Taylor both of Atlanta, GA; eight gorgeous grandchildren, Lakya (Rakieem Salaam) Brookins of Oklahoma, Jamisha and Joshua Williams of Spartanburg, SC, Ariyana Taylor, Milton Philson, and Jaliah Taylor all of Clinton, SC, and Chance Taylor of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Marilyn (Charlie) Austin of Clinton, SC; one sister-in-law, Mary R. Taylor Virginia Beach, VA; a special friend and classmate, Sherman Rhodes, who stuck by him when he was well and through his sickness, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends,,
