Jacqueline Wilson Simpson

Ms. Jacqueline Wilson Simpson, 56, was born on August 20, 1963 in Laurens County, South Carolina to Jerry Pitts and Rosa Pitts Reed.

She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina.  At an early age, she joined Mount Pleasant African Methodist Episcopal Church where she served as the Youth Choir Director, the Steward YPD President and Director, and a member of the Lay Organization.  She was also a member of the Women's Aide Society No.  73.

Jacqueline was formerly employed with Whitten Center in Clinton, South Carolina for a number of years.  She was also employed with The Budd Group of Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina until her health began to decline.

She enjoyed church activities, traveling, family gatherings, and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by, two uncles, Willie James Thompson and Jessie Lee Thompson; and one aunt, Annie Bell James.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband, Patrick Dean Simpson;  three sons, James (Mia Mattress) Wilson, Patrick Simpson, and Roddy T. King; thirteen grandchildren, Shemya Young, Alfred Gilliam, Deasia and Deasha Wilson, Tayquavious Wilson, Deshari Simpson, Deijiah Simpson, Nyonna Simpson, Jay and Jamarion Simpson, Shekaya Davis, Jaquan and Ta'Niya Davis;  two great grandchildren;  her mother, Rosa (Willie) Reed; her father, Jerry (Judy) Pitts; her grandmother, Janie G. Wilson;  reared in the home, David Mosley,, Zechariah and Zedemiah James;  two sisters, Brenda(Shawn) Carter and Emily (Timothy) Brown both of Clinton, SC; three brothers, Elvin Jackson,, Jr., Maurice James Pitts, and Dwight Antonio Pitts;  two uncles, Samuel (Mary Jo Thompson) Dooley and C.W. (Patricia) Wilson; three aunts, Janie Thompson, Sadie Norman, and Ida (Tony) Korens; her mother-in-law, Mary Simpson;  one sister-in-law, Michelle Simpson; a long time companion, David Campbell; a special friend, Wanda Turner;  two good friends which she called Sweet Bernice and Crazy Bernice; and a host of extended family and friends.
