James Arthur Cohens

Mr. James Arthur Cohens was born December 1, 1958, to the late John Thomas Korens and the late Annie Mae Young Korens in Laurens County, South Carolina.  On Friday, April 17, 2026, James entered into eternal rest at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina.

James was a member of Seed of Life Ministry in Laurens, South Carolina.  Mr. Cohens loved playing video games and watching westerns.

James was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Wilson; sister, Annie Tribble, brothers, Foremango Korens and Johnnie Williams; niece, Cassandra Long.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his son, Allen Smith; his sisters, Sharon (Bobby) Hill, Ida Williams;  both of Laurens, SC and Charlene Toland of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Deasia Wilson, Deasha Wilson, Tayquavious Wilson, Alfred Gilliam and Nyterian Smith; great-grandson, Tylan Wilson;  his nieces,, Kerria Williams, Angel Toland, Connie Williams, Ty'Niesia Thomas, Tausha Korens and Keandra Long;  his nephews, Willie Cohens, Kevin Barksdale, Credrick Korens and Kedrick Reid; Elder Michelle Mason-Holmes and Deacon Larry Holmes, of the home,  other relatives and friends. .
