Mr. James Henry Johnson, Jr. was born August 29, 1965, to the late Dorothy Sanders Scott and James Henry Johnson, Sr., in Laurens County, South Carolina.
At an early age, he attended New Hope African Methodist Episcopal Church in Mountville, South Carolina.
James attended Newberry High School in Newberry, South Carolina.
He was a forklift operator with BMW in Greer, South Carolina for over five years until his health began to decline.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Willie Mae Cannon Johnson and Albert Lee Johnson, Sr; and one brother, Henry Lee Johnson.
On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Mr. James Henry Johnson, Jr. was received into eternity at his residence in Fountain Inn, South Carolina at the age of fifty-eight.
James leaves to celebrate his life and his precious and loving memories his wife, Bobbi Shay Green Johnson of Fountain Inn, SC; one brother, Timothy Johnson of Clinton, SC; two sisters: Olivia (Willie) Williams of Clinton, SC and Kimbalee (Tremenous) Baker of Newberry, SC: five nieces, Teresa (Cedric) Brown and Avion Miller, both of Laurens, SC Destiny Simpson, Yasmine Simpson, and Nykeria Rice all of Clinton, SC; one nephew, Hezekiah Simpson of Simpsonville, SC: six great nieces; Elizabeth Brown Rachel Brown, Abigail Brown all of Laurens SC; and Cameron Wideman, Courtney Wideman, Tyniesha Davis all of Newberry, SC; great nephews, Cedrious Brown and Josiah Brown both of Laurens, SC; great-great nephew Azanah Brow of Simpsonville, SC; three aunts;: Shirley McDaniel and Lillymae Sanders both of Piedmont, SC and Rachel Mims of Laurens, SC; two uncles; Henry Sanders, Jr, of Fountain Inn, SC; and Roy Sanders of Columbia, SC; his step-mom, Dorothy Johnson of Newberry, SC; his father and mother-in-law: Bobby Green and Kay Green of Enoree, SC; three sisters-in-law; Latoya Green of Charlotte, NC, Collette Green of Clinton, SC and Stacy Green of Simpsonville, SC; three brothers-in-law: Antwone Green of Bishopville, SC, Rodney Green of Missouri, and Quentin Green of Greenville, SC; other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.
