Deacon James Earl McDaniel born June 30, 1937 to the late Christine Bolden; adopted by the late Irene McDaniel.
Deacon McDaniel, also affectionately known as "Vem", was educated in the Laurens County School District. He was employed with John D. Hollingworth for fifty plus years.
Deacon McDaniel, was a member of the Center Rabun Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a member of the All Male Chorus. He was also a member of the Hollingworth All Male Chorus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Millie Choice and Virginia Goodjoin; two brothers, Clifton Sullivan and James Willie Sullivan.
On Sunday, August 04, 2024, Deacon James Earl McDaniel, departed his earthly life at the age of eighty-seven at his home.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of sixty-five years, Bernice Shaw McDaniel; his son, James Bernard (Helena) McDaniel of the home; his daughter, Valerie McDaniel of Gray Court, South Carolina; his granddaughter, Khadijah L McDaniel of Atlanta Ga; and godson, Lee Watts of Gray Court, South Carolina; eight sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
