Mr. James Anthony Wilson was born February 2, 1980, in Laurens County, South Carolina to James Arthur Cohens and the late Jacqueline Wilson Simpson.
He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina.
James was a member of Mt. Pleasant African Methodist Church of Clinton, South Carolina as well as the Men's Aide Society.
He was previously employed as a production worker at Country Fresh Produce in Gray Court, South Carolina.
"Ankie", as he was lovingly called, enjoyed church, football, gathering with his family and friends, spending time with his grandchildren, and going to Big Boys on Saturday morning,
He preceded in death, in addition to his mother, his great grandmother, Janie G. Wilson; his paternal grandparents, John Thomas and Annie Cohens; step grandfather, Willie B. Reed; two aunts: Annie B. James and Annie Ruth Cohens; two uncles: Johnny Korens, Jr., and Formango Korens; and cousin, Cassandra Long.
Mr. James Anthony Wilson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in his home, at the age of forty-four.
In addition to his father, he leaves to cherish his memories to his loving companion, Mia Mattress Wilson; two sons: Alfred Gilliam, Tayquavious Wilson; two daughters, DeAsha and DeAsia Wilson, his step-son Jaquan Davis; his step-daughter, Shekaya Davis; five grandchildren: Ta'Niya Davis, Jy"Shawn Young, Ja"Liyah Young, Tylan Wilson, and Kingston Davis; three brothers: Roddy Tykee King, Patrick Simpson, Allen Smith; grandmother, Rosa P. Reed; grandfather, Jerry (Judy) Pitts; three aunts: Ida M. Williams, Charlene (Ricky) Toland, Sharon (Bobby) Hill; two great uncles: Samuel (Mary Jo) Thompson and C.W. (Patricia) Wilson; two great aunts: Janie Thompson and Ida (Tony) Kinard; good friends: Kevin Gilliam and James(Barbara) Rechelle Cheeks whom he loved as brothers; friends of the family, Patrick D. Simpson and David E. Campbell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
