Ms. Janice Corinne Pitts was born June 28, 1952 in Clinton, South Carolina to Lee Ross Pitts, Sr., and Nancy Kate Pitts.
She was a member of Friendship AME Church in Clinton, South Carolina while attending the Gospel Tabernacle Church of Laurens, South Carolina.
Janice was a graduate of South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
She taught Science at Dorman High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina for many years. After years of employment, she retired from Whitten Center in Clinton, South Carolina as a Service Coordinator having also worked in the Psychology department.
Ms. Janice Corinne Pitts entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital in Clinton, South Carolina at the age of seventy-two.
She leaves her cherished memories to her only son, Brian (Cherlyn) Pitts of Simpsonville, SC; one brother, Lee Ross Pitts, Jr.; one sister, Bertha Ann Pitts; two granddaughters: Ebony Pitts and Brianna Pitts both of Simpsonville, SC; three step grandchildren: Synetha (Rodney) Mars of Laurens, SC , Alena (Timothy) Doctor of Charleston, SC, and Timothy (Tyesha) Cook of Piedmont, SC, one great grandson: nine step great grandchildren: one step great- great granddaughter: and a host of other relatives and friends.
