Mrs. Jettie Fant Payne was born in Prosperity, South Carolina in the county of Newberry on September 10, 1959, to Evangelist Willie L. Fant and the late Elder James Fant.
She attended the public schools of Essex County, New Jersey and was a graduate of Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark, New Jersey.
Jettie was formerly employed in a field she was most compassionate about for the South Carolina Disability of Special Needs at Whitten Center in Clinton, South Carolina and By Care Generation of Irmo, South Carolina as a caregiver.
She was a member of Miracle Church of God in Christ of Clinton, South Carolina. She served in her church as the church administrator, on the Deaconess Ministry, a teacher of the YPWW, director of the music department and youth choir, and she was a singer for the South Carolina District Choir and the South Carolina Judication Choir.
Her faithful and committed heart to serve caused her to do whatever her hands found to do because of her love for the Lord.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Tina Hare and Vanessa Boyd.
Mrs. Jettie Fant Payne formerly of Joanna, South Carolina departed this life and entered Eternal Rest on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Hospice House of Greenwood, South Carolina at the age of sixty-one.
She leaves to forever cherish her fond and loving memories, in addition to her dedicated mother, her husband, Mr. Charlie Payne, Jr.; one daughter, Dynasty Davis of Joanna, SC; one stepdaughter, Shadinia Croft; two grandchildren, Kaiden Davis and Kensly Davis both of Joanna, SC: four step grandchildren; three sisters: Lyda Wise of Newberry, SC, Yolanda Traylor of Atlanta, GA, and Janice Williams of Newark, NJ; two aunts, Yolanda Brown of Newberry, SC and Annie Bell Brown of Norristown, PA; two uncles: Rudolph Young and John Fant both of Newberry, SC; two sisters-in-law: Martha Boozer of Prosperity, SC and Martha Ann Franks of Simpsonville, SC; two brothers-in-law. Ozzie Payne and Thomas Payne both of Newberry, SC; a special friend of over twenty-five years, Sharon Suber of Clinton, SC; a committed caregiver, Niecy Adele Wright of Newberry, SC; and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives, and friends,
