LaChoyce "LA" Glenn, Sr. passed away peacefully in his home on February 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. "LA", also known by many other nicknames, was born on March 18, 1964, to the late Dorothy and Eugene Glenn, Sr. in Whitmire, South Carolina. LaChoyce's life was marked by his passion for family, fishing, and beloved Clemson Tigers.
A true all-around athlete, LaChoyce pursued his passion for sports from a young age. He excelled in football and basketball during his time at Newberry College, where he not only showcased his athletic prowess but also forged lifelong friendships and bonds with teammates.
After his collegiate years, LaChoyce embarked on a successful career in the manufacturing and textile industry, dedicating 27 years of hard work and commitment to his profession.
LaChoyce found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was casting a line while fishing or supporting the Clemson Tigers and Pittsburg Steelers. However, above all else, LaChoyce cherished moments spent with his family, reveling in their love and creating lasting memories together.
LaChoyce was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Glenn, his father, Eugene Glenn, Sr, his brothers, Thurmond Glenn and Maurice Glenn, and his nephew, Brent Rice.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Glenn; his son, Ll "LA"; his siblings: Eugene Glenn Jr (Debra Glenn), and Karen Glenn, his loving Father-in-law, Papa Seymore, as well as a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and loving cousins - all of whom will continue to carry on LaChoyce's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
