Lenette Smith

Mrs. Lenette Smith was born n Laurens, South Carolina on June 15, 1967 to James Reeder and Bessie Smith Reeder.

She attended the public schools of Newberry County, South Carolina.

At an early age, "Nette", as she was lovingly called by family and friends, joined St. Vaughnvillle Baptist Church in Chappells, South Carolina. She was employed with Whiteford's Giant Burger in Clinton, South Carolina as well as Presbyterian College until her health decline.

She loved her family and friend, but she had a special love for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy P. Smith.

Mrs. Lenette Smith departed this earthly life on Friday, November 15, 2024 and entered Eternal Peace at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of fifty-seven.

In addition to her parents, Nette will be missed by her devoted husband, Randy Grant of the home; two daughters: Deanna Smith, Jessica Smith; one son Rodkeidrick Smith; two grandsons: Bryson Smith and Jayden Smith all who were reared in the home; four brothers: Windell (Fayetta) Reeder of Atlanta, GA., Keith (Deborah) Reeder of Mountville, SC, Jeff (Tonya) McGowan and Harold (Freda) McGowan both of Laurens, SC;  four sisters:  Renarda (Seneca) McMillian of Charlotte, NC, , Martha Ann Shumpert of Laurens, SC, Cynthia (Ronald) Bell and  Pamela McGowan both of Clinton, SC; six aunts: Daisy (Harold) Smoot and Lula Crawford both of Chappells, SC, Janice (Larry) Wilson of Newberry, SC, Olivia (Wister) Williams of Cross Hill, SC. Betty (Bobby) Tribble of Laurens, SC, Juanita (Lloyd) Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Dorothy (Scottie) Davis of Clinton, SC, and Lessie Speaks of Mountville, SC; four uncles: Alvin Smith of Chappells, SC, Otis (Linda) Langford, Greg (Doris) Langford, and Pete (Rosa) Langford all of Newberry, SC; father-in-law, A. C. Grant, Sr., two sisters-in-law: Patricia Williams and Judy (Johnny) Hearst both of Clinton, SC; three brothers-in-law: Johnny Grant, David (Etta) Grant, and A.C. (Harriet) Grant Jr. all of Clinton, SC; three special friends: Donna Wright of Greenwood, SC, Carrie Boyd of Cross Hill, SC, and Solita Copeland of Clinton, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
