Mrs. Linda Gilliam White was born July 7, 1950 in Clinton, SC. She was the triplet daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Roy and Hattie Mae Hill Gilliam. The other two in the triplet birth included Mrs. Brenda Gilliam Humbert and the late Menda Gilliam.
She attended the public schools of Laurens County, S.C., and was a 1968 graduate of Bell Street High School, Clinton, S.C. where she excelled in Basketball. She was a twenty-one-year full military career veteran of the United States Air Force from 1071-1992 serving stateside in Charleston Air Force Base, Charleston, S.C., March Air Force Base, Riverside, California, and Alaska. Her overseas service locations included Okinawa, Japan, Spain, Korea, Australia, Philippines, and Italy. She received an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1992. Mrs. White was also a member of the Women's home Aid Society, Lodge #49 with Mrs. Lillie Johnson as president. After her military retirement, she worked at Perry Correctional Institute, Simpsonville, S.C.
Her passions included gardening, cooking, cookouts, and spending time with family. Her favorite TV shows included Law & Order, CSI, and Matlock. She loved to play cards including spades, bid whist, chess, jigsaw puzzles, and dominoes. Her philosophy of life was "live and let live".
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Menda Gilliam, Leroy Gilliam, and Joseph Gilliam, all of Clinton, S.C.
Mrs..Linda G. White transitioned from this world on Friday , January 5, 2018 in Simpsonville, S.C. at the age of 67.
She is survived by her two supportive sons, Mr. Lawrence "JR", and Mr. Marcus Christopher (Latoya) White both of Simpsonville, S.C.; an ex-husband, Mr. Larry White of New Orleans, LA.; one triplet sister, Mrs. Brenda Gilliam (Truman) Humbert of Greenville, S.C.; one brother, Mr. Michael (Ruth) Gilliam of Antioch, Tennessee; two aunts, Mrs. Evelyn Goggins of Greenwood, S.C. and Mrs. Lillie Johnson of Clinton, S.C.; 2 grandchildren, Antrone M. Day of Clinton, S.C. and Kylie Burton of Waterloo, S.C.; mother-in-law, Mrs. Mona L. White of New Orleans, LA.; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other Gilliam, Curenton, Hill and Jenkins relatives and friends.
