Loretta Summers

Ms. Loretta Summers, formally of Laurens, SC., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the age of 73, in Fayetteville, NC.; after a long illness.

Loretta was born in Laurens, SC. on September 22, 1947 to the late Mattie Pearl McGee.  She graduated from Sanders High School and retired from Jostens Corporation after many years of dedicated service.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend; who lovingly assisted in the rearing of her young siblings upon the premature passing of their parents.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her brothers John Earl McGee and William McGee and her sisters Mattie Carter and Margie Mickens,

Loretta leaves to cherish fond memories her only son, Christopher Summers of Lillington, NC. and her beloved grandson Raekwon Summers of Newberry, SC.  She is also survived by her brothers:  Rossie McGee and Elliott McGee and her sister, Lily Alice Ward; all of Laurens, SC.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
