Mrs. Louise Hunter was born on September 24, 1942, in Newberry County, South Carolina, to the late William and Mattie Williams Taylor.
She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina where she was a graduate of the Bell Street High School Class of 1961.
At an early age, she joined Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church in Kinards, South Carolina where she was a faithful member of the Monday Noon Time Prayer Line.
Louise was an extensively trained and devoted Laboratory Technician for Torrington Bearings Company in Clinton, South Carolina. In 2004, after over thirty-five years of employment, Mrs. Hunter retired from Torrington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael "Mack" Hunter, Sr.; one son, William Calvin Hunter; one daughter, Christal E. Hunter Pyles; one sister, Emma Lee Bates; and three brothers: William D. Taylor, Jr., James Eenest Taylor, and Uluse Lee Taylor.
On Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Hospice of Laurens County in Clinton, South Carolina, the Lord God Almighty called home the soul of Mrs. Louise Taylor Hunter at the age of eighty.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful and fun loving memories her son, Michael Hunter Jr. of the home; two brothers: Charlie (Beverly) Taylor of Charlotte, NC, and Robert Taylor of Columbia, SC; six sisters: Ruby(Bill) Velasco of Clinton, SC, Nettie Ruth Taylor of Clinton, SC, Dr. Rita (Curtis) Henderson of Laurens, SC, Geraldine Taylor of Charlotte, NC, , Cynthia Adams of Durham, NC, and Anita (Heng) Thong of Columbia, SC; one granddaughter, Keondra McMorris of Charlotte, NC; one grandson, Xaxier Pyles of Clinton, SC; one great grandson, Elijiah "EJ" Davis of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
