Mrs. Margaret Rice Miller peacefully transitioned on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the National Healthcare Center in Clinton, South Carolina. She was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on January 7, 1934, to the late Elder Lester Rice and Lula Mae Metts Rice. She was the ninth child out of eleven children born to this union.
Margaret was retired from Torrington Bearing Plant and was a member of Chosen Generation Ministries.
She was the daughter of a holiness preacher who grew up in the true holiness faith. She loved the Lord and believed in the power of prayer.
She loved the Lord and was the last of the three sisters known as the "Golden Girls" who dressed and wore their fine hats and outfits every Sunday for worship service.
She reached the golden age of ninety and was preceded in death by six sisters: Mary Lizzie Barksdale, Catherine Cannon, Mattie Priestly, Annie Mae Richardson, Daisy Lee Rice, and Elizabeth Young; and three brothers: Lester Rice Jr., Hallie Rice, and Jimmy Rice.
She leaves her cherished memories to her sister, Viola Chambers; three devoted nieces: Shirley Young Jenkins and Rosia Priestly Nelson both of Clinton, SC, and April Rice Darby of Laurens, SC; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and cousins.
