Mrs. Margie H. Byrd was born May 5, 1938 to the late Clarence and Lillie Dillard Herbert in Laurens County, South Carolina.
She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina where she was a graduate of Sanders High School.
At an early age, Mrs. Margie joined Poplar Spring African Methodist Episcopal Church in Laurens, South Carolina.
She was employed for many years as a production operator at Palmetto Spinning in Laurens County, South Carolina
In addition to spending time with her family, she was known as the "Remote Control Queen!"
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Lyons and one brother, Larry Herbert.
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Mrs. Margie H. Byrd entered into eternal rest at her home at the age of eighty-six.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband, Robert G. Byrd; two sons; Robert (Angela) Byrd and James (Katheryn) Byrd; six grandchildren; Rodric Byrd, Jarrell Byrd, Rylyn Byrd, Jasmine Byrd, Laporsha Bates and Samantha McCormick: six great-grandchildren: Jaida Jackson, Mailyah Byrd, Jaycicana Byrd, Jakobe McCormick, Jakhal McCormick and Chance Chairs; one brother, Willie C. Herbert; one sister, Dorothy Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
