Ms. Margie Lee Jacks, 60, transitioned into the Pearly Gates on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Laurens County Hospice House. She was born September 5, 1954 to the late Sarah Jacks.
At an early age she joined the Antioch A.M.E. Church, Clinton, South Carolina. She was a dedicated and faithful member who truly loved the church. She served in the following organizations: Steward and Stewardess Board, Chirstian Education Director, Church Secretary, Vacation Bible School, Church School Teacher, Director of the Annual Youth Awareness Day, Antioch Missionary Society, Allen Christian Fellowship, Steward and Finance Committee, Usher Board, Choir and The Lay Orginazation. She served on the Women Missionary Society Greenville Area, Piedmont Conference Branch, and the Greenville District Scholarship Committee. She also served as an Annual Conference Delegate for many years. She was a former volunteer of the Laurens County Hospice House, Clinton, South Carolina.
She was a 1973 graduate of Clinton High School and she received an Associate Degree from Piedmont Technical College. She was employed with Valmont, Newberry, South Carolina.
In additiona to her mother, a Brother, Matthew Jacks, Grandmother, Daisy Jacks, and Grandfather, Essex Jacks preceded her in death.
Cherishing fond memories are her sister, Ms. Shirley Jacks of Clinton, South Carolina; one niece, Vera L. Jacks of Suffolk, VA; two nephews, Lejonathan Jacks of Greenville, South Carolina and Mykel Jacks of Kinards, South Carolina; three great nieces, Melana Charmaine Jacks and Mikayla Nicole Moody, both of Suffolk, VA, and Mykeria Essionna Taylor of Clinton, South Carolina; one aunt, Sally Pearl Jackson Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.
