Mary A. Darby

Ms. Mary A. "Mollie" Darby, 58, of 92 Palmetto Street, Clinton, South Carolina, was born February 1, 1959 to the late Maggie Darby Watts and William H. Adair.

She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 23, 2017. She was a 1978 graduate of Clinton High School and she joined  Bethlehem Grove at an early age where she was a member of the praise and worship team. She was employed by Clinton Mills for many years until their closing, and later worked for home health until her health failed in 2013. 

She is preceded in death by her parents: two sisters: Annie D. McMorris and Ann L. Matthews. Five brothers:  Williams Dobbins, Thomas Darby, George Darby, Clarence Darby, and Jimmy Darby.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories: a daughter, Ms. Katrina Simpson; Three sons: Mr. Ervin "Lamont" Darby, Mr. Jamiro Ligon and Mr. Ja'Varia "Mookie" Darby (reared in the home); two granddaughters: Ms. Ny'Precious  Simpson and Ms. Tatajana Young all of Clinton, SC.  Four sisters: Ms. Ruby Darby, Ms. Margaret Darby, Ms. Joyce Wesley, and Mrs. Helen (Luke) Badd all of Clinton, SC.  Seven brothers: Mr. Robert Darby, Mr. Manuel Darby, Mr. Samuel Darby, Mr. Randolph Darby, Mt. Lorenzo Darby all of Clinton, SC. Mr. James Darby of Newberry, SC and Mr. Andrew Wesley of Florida. Five sisters-in-law: Ms. Annette Darby of  Newberry, SC, Ms. Gloria Bluford, Ms. Brenda Dillard, Ms. Willie Mae Darby and Ms. Lutricia Shumate. A special friend William "Billy" Martin and two great-granddaughters, along with a host of nieces, nephew and cousins.
