Mr. Reginald Arnell Burkett was born July 3, 1969, to the late Maxine Burkett and Freddie Valdez in Brooklyn, New York. 

He previously worked as a cook for Outback Steakhouse.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Reginald entered into eternal rest at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina at the age of 56. 

He leaves to cherish his memories to his fiancé, Alma Johnson; his step-sons, Christopher Johnson, Brandon (Roslyn Austin) Johnson, Christopher (Chelsea Greer) Campbell, Rogelio (Ashley Jones) Espinoza, Alejandro Mendez; his step-daughters, Shannice Johnson, Alexus Espinoza, Ranisha Johnson; his brothers-in-law, Tyrone and Allen Johnson; his sisters-in-law, Natasha Burkett, Williemena Hernandez, Shirley Johnson; his grandchildren, Miracle McGowan, Kaleb Cromer, Truth Cromer, Zane Campbell, Jasmine Johnson; his nieces, Wilkaya Burkett, Willani Salter, Kianna Burkett; great-niece, Willani Salter;  mother-in-law,  Shirley McDonald  a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
